Featured Attorney: Sean King

Nick Werker

April 14, 2017

Sean King is the primary attorney and owner of King Law in Florida, namely Fort Myers and Naples, practicing Personal Injury, Car Accidents, Medical Malpractice, and Product Liability. Sean attended the University of Miami where he earned his undergraduate degree, and subsequently attended the University of Miami Law School. He is licensed to practice law in both the States of Ohio and Florida.

Sean King’s firm is all about serving each and every client to the best of their ability, which means returning phone calls immediately, answering the phone themselves, explaining difficult and detailed processes, and providing support each step of the way. Car accidents, medical malpractice, and product liability cases can often be lengthy processes, and King Law does an excellent job of guiding each client along the way.

“Customer service is a big part of our firm - really going to bat for your clients is important but patience; that’s what really maximizes the return for your clients. If you settle quickly you might not get the best outcome. Other firms are quick to settle because they want to get paid and move on to the next client. We put more time into our cases, return clients’ phone calls, etc. Patience is key so that you’re not being rushed and treated like a number - there’s an intrinsic value there,” said Mr. King when he was asked what sets his firm apart. He is absolutely right. All of the reviews of King Law are lengthy descriptions of how clients call him, and how Sean calls them back in less than 5 minutes. Clients even detail how he is not at all rushed, and he takes the time to truly listen to them on the phone, so that they can effectively communicate and provide detailed facts about the situation.

“What are some common legal misconceptions amongst your clients?”

“A lot of clients think that this is a quick process. Often times they need to prove their case, especially if it is one witness versus another, it might be difficult to prove this case and get a quick resolution. After being injured, healing is a long process and it takes time to negotiate a good resolution.” Sean also noted that it is extremely important to be patient because your injury could last for a long time, and if you are unable to work or support yourself, you need the best compensation possible while you worry about “getting back to normal.”

“What was the biggest challenge in starting your own law practice?”

“Finding the right employees to help you grow, but especially to manage large cases, because you are only as good as your employees. If your employees don’t care than your clients can sense that and become turned off.”

I asked Sean if he believes in the Richard Branson approach to management, which is “If you look after your staff, they’ll look after your customers,” (-Richard Branson) to which he agreed.

“It’s a circular motion keeping your employees happy and engaged, to keep them in touch with your clients,” says Sean.

“What are some of your hobbies outside of your work life?”

In his free time, Sean likes to go scuba diving, fishing, horseback riding, and enjoys exercising. Sean says it’s important to stay healthy, and we couldn’t agree more. Of course, living in Florida has given Sean a predisposition to water sports like scuba diving and fishing.

It is extremely important to Sean King that he call his clients back right away, which is why Answering Legal is such a great tool. As soon as he misses a call, Sean gets a detailed message of who called and what they are calling him about, so that he can get in touch with him/her right away. If it’s a new client, the caller will be happily surprised to be speaking with the attorney so quickly, that Sean will most often retain his/her business. If it’s an existing client, Sean’s call will be part of the exceptional customer service that his firm has a long track record of providing.

Sean is a dedicated advocate for his clients, an absolute savant in the field of car accidents, medical malpractice, and product liability, and for this reason, is Answering Legal’s featured attorney!
