How does Legal Video Calls work?

Published: 07.25.25

Legal Video Calls (LVC) is a secure video conferencing service designed specifically for attorneys who need to communicate with clients who speak other languages. It includes a professional translator on every call and operates with minimal setup required by the attorney.

Features and Process

1. Scheduling a Call

  • Attorneys request an LVC session.
  • The LVC team sets up the video meeting and pastes the meeting link into a calendar event.
  • The requesting attorney and the client/invitee receive a confirmation email with all event details and the link.

2. Joining the Meeting

  • Attorneys join via the link provided in the calendar event.
  • Upon clicking, they enter a Pre-Meeting Room where they:
    • Enter their name
    • Choose spoken language (e.g., English, Spanish)
    • Select microphone, speaker, and camera settings

3. In the Meeting

  • Participants: Attorney, Client(s), Translator, and LVC Agent
  • The LVC Agent facilitates the meeting start by introducing all parties.
  • A live professional translator ensures accurate communication.
  • At the 10-minute mark, the LVC agent gives a 5-minute warning and asks if more time is needed.

4. After the Call

  • A PDF transcript of the meeting is provided (currently in Spanish only). Immediately after the meeting has ended the transcript will be sent to your email.
  • The session time is deducted from the attorney’s prepaid minutes.

Pricing

Meetings are billed in 15-minute increments. Options include:

  • LVC Basic: 60 mins – $59.99
  • LVC Standard: 135 mins – $119.99
  • LVC Premium: 270 mins – $209.99
